Call 4ALL

Legal Aid of North Carolina
Tuesday, February 26, 2013

Legal Aid of North Carolina has partnered with the North Carolina Bar Association to found Call 4ALL, a pro bono program which provides private attorneys with the opportunity to provide legal advice to pre-screened clients through phone interviews. Interviews are scheduled to be one-hour, once a month, unless the attorney elects to offer additional services. Since the launch of the program in 2011, Call 4ALL has developed a growing community of 600 volunteers, who have provided services to 4000 clients.

To manage the varied components of the program, Legal Aid of North Carolina has created an informational guide to Call 4ALL, which provides:

  • Volunteer resources, including training materials and webinar schedules.
  • The Call 4All process, including the screening process and the expectations for volunteer involvement.
  • Technology requirements.
  • Call 4All extension programs, which provide additional opportunities for volunteers and the community.

Samples of training materials for Call 4All are available on the North Carolina Bar Association’s website.
