Fireside Chats

District of Columbia Bar Foundation and the District of Columbia Consortium of Legal Service Providers - 020120

Abstract Number: 020120

January 2003

District of Columbia Bar Foundation and the District of Columbia Consortium of Legal Service Providers created a forum where senior legal services and public interest attorneys share knowledge and strategies for addressing systemic issues facing the legal services community. These Fireside Chats generally last two hours and are held in an informal setting provided by a law firm or law school. The goal of these meetings is to inspire and inform a younger generation of legal services attorneys about the lessons and experience gained from more experienced attorneys. Fireside Chats enable young attorneys to have frank conversations with some of the most respected members of the bar to strategize on how to solve problems facing their client community.
