Legal Services of New York City (LSNYC) developed a Board Member Handbook. The handbook is used as an introduction to LSNYC and as a guide to board member duties and responsibilities. In addition, the handbook is designed to:
Enable board members to understand the board's leadership role and purpose; Identify the structures, functions and systems that allow LSNYC to fulfill its responsibilities; Explain the board's liaison role that enhances communications between LSNYC and the constituent corporations; and Clarify the communication and information flow among the board members.
