The Commission on Homelessness and Poverty and the Steering Committee on the Unmet Legal Needs of Children published Educating Children Without Housing: A Primer on Legal Requirements and Implementation Strategies for Educators, Advocates and Policymakers to share successful strategies to ensure the education of homeless children. This manual provides in-depth discussion on the educational component of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act and suggested steps that can be taken by educators and school administrators to implement the act. This book is organized into the following chapters:
