Utah Legal Services (ULS) developed a wiki to improve access to their Domestic Law Manual. Publishing the current 1600 page Domestic Law Manual on to a wiki increases access and allows only designated practitioners the ability to edit. An attorney willing to learn domestic law can now immediately go to ULS's wiki for training. The Manual includes links to short training videos. This project will increase the number of volunteer attorneys willing to take pro bono domestic cases and increase ULS's ability to represent more low income litigants in family court. The project could easily be replicated by various departments within Utah Legal Services, as well as, in the legal aid community. Using a wiki and training videos can also increase private attorney involvement. Legal Aid Society and the Family Law section of the State Bar are involved in updating the Manual. Law students volunteer to help update the manual.
